DATY Meaning on an Escort Listing
DATY means dining at the Y. It is oral sex performed on a woman, and one of the older pieces of listing shorthand still in regular use.
Where the phrase comes from
The Y is the shape of the body seen from above. The euphemism predates the internet by a long way and reached escort listings through American message boards in the nineties, which is why it survives here and almost nowhere else in British English. Nobody says it out loud; it exists to be written.
What it tells you
That it is welcome rather than unwelcome. It does not tell you it is expected, and it is not a requirement of the booking. A listing that does not mention it is not refusing it, most simply do not itemise to that level.
Its opposite number is OWO, and the two are often listed together. Shower first, which is the whole etiquette and applies in both directions.
